About #OpenUpOctober

#OpenUpOctober is a global mental health initiative that prompts people to open up about their mental-wellbeing & eliminate mental health stigma. 🌟

Objective

To eliminate mental health stigma! By Opening Up we can reach more people that deal with issues that affect their mental health. We want to let people know that it is okay to not be okay, that it is not easy to admit or to open up, but when you decide to open up, you know that there are people that are willing to listen and help.

October is Mental Health Month in Australia. The whole month is dedicated to mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.

10th October is also the World Mental Health Day which is recognised internationally.
